On October 16, 2022, after a long and full life, Susan Sullivan Postma (Sue) passed away at the age of 80.
Sue was born September 20, 1942 and spent her youth in Saint Anthony, Idaho swimming and playing on the banks of the Snake River. She and her family later moved to Logan, Utah, where she graduated from Logan High School and then attended the Utah State University Theater department.
Sue later earned a Bachelor degree from Utah State in Special Education and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Development from Oregon State University and spent many years teaching special needs children. Her empathy allowed her to reach those who could not otherwise be reached and brought joy and happiness into the lives of many children and youth.
Her family, friends, and students will be forever grateful that she chose them over a promising Broadway career. While her decision may not have been the most glamorous, it was the most loving and compassionate choice that was in keeping with her loving Christlike personality.
Sue is survived by her sons Clay (Joslyn), Mark (Tara), and Lance (Heather), her daughter Jennifer (Sam) Robinson, fifteen grandchildren, and her fiancé Brian Owens. She was predeceased by her father Lloyd Sullivan, her mother Eunice Peterson, her brother Jack Hagar and her sister Kaye Sullivan.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 20th 6-8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service, Monday, October 24th 11 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 178 W Center St. in Logan.
