Suzanne Reese Jenkins

Suzanne Reese Jenkins, 67, passed away June 14, 2012, near Bridgeport, Calif., following a motorcycle accident.

She was born August 5, 1944, to Stanley Richard Reese and Delone Waldron Reese in Logan. She married Richard Leon Laursen and together they had two daughters Kay Lynn and Gloria Leigh. They divorced after thirty-one years of marriage. In 1994 Suzanne met David M. Jenkins at a dance. Their first date was rappelling off a cliff in Black Smith Fork Canyon and they were later married September 16, 1994.

They had many joyful years together. She loved to ride on their Harley Davidson as a passenger traveling all over the country. She loved to sew, always creating her own holiday costumes. Some of her favorite times were passing out candy in the halls of the USU Taggert Center Book Store, where she worked for twenty-one years.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandson. Suzanne was always happy and excited to visit her grandchildren often and to be such a big part of their lives.

She is survived by her husband, David; her daughters Kay (Frank) Veatch, Logan, UT, Gloria (Jeff) Lupus, Draper, UT; Mindi (Billy) Hauser, Lakeland, FL; Amy Gray, Bradenton, FL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandson and one brother, Robert (Haruko) Reese, Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Richard and S. Roger Reese.

There will be a visitation from 10 AM to 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North Logan, UT. Family and friends are also invited to the graveside service to be held at 12:00 PM at the North Logan Cemetery, 2500 North 2000 East in North Logan.
