LOGAN, UTAH: Tamara Joy Andersen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Dec. 13, 2012, at the age of 67 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. She was born in New Ulm, MN on October 11, 1945. She was the only daughter of Florence and Lester Perleberg of Huron, SD.
?Tamara married David L. Andersen, on Oct. 2, 1965, in Sioux Falls, SD and later solemnized in 1982 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They raised two sons and were married for 47 years.
?Tamara was a convert member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held a variety of positions in the Relief Society, Young Women’s and Primary. She loved serving and always put others before herself. One of her favorite callings was a compassionate service leader.
?Tamara enjoyed many family vacations, spending time attending her grandsons’ various activities, meeting her friends for lunch bunch, reading and attending any USU Aggie sporting event with her husband and friends. One of her most memorable trips was surprising her grandsons’ on an adventure to Disneyland. She also enjoyed going on cruises with her husband and friends.
She was a loving, caring, and patient person who brought out the best in everyone and never spoke an unkind word about anyone.
?Tamara is survived by her husband David and two children, Scott Andersen (Angie) of Logan and Todd Andersen (Wendy) of Idaho Falls. She has 4 amazing grandsons (Caden, Bryson, Austin and Andy) who were the joy of her life and who loved her endlessly. She is also survived by her only brother Rance Perleberg (Lois) of Huron, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Florence Perleberg.
?Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the Logan 43rd Ward, 1255 N. 600 E. Logan, Utah . A viewing for family members and friends will be on Tuesday, Dec, 18, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Allen- Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street in Logan, UT. There will also be a viewing on Wed. at the church from 10 a.m. – 11:30a.m., prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery following the funeral.
