Terese Nielsen

Long Beach, California: Terese Nielsen, 93, born March 21, 1913 in Hyde Park, Utah to Thomas Nielsen and Lettie Sorene Petersen. She was one of ten children. Graduated from North Cache High School and business school. Worked at Fort Douglas and V.A. Hospital in Long Beach. She resided in Long Beach for over 50 years. She loved to travel and attend Operas and music festivals.
She served in many church callings and worked in the Los Angeles Temple and also served an LDS Mission to the Salt Lake Genealogy Department.
She is survived by one brother, Theon Nielsen, Lewiston, Utah and one sister, Lorna Rasmussen, Hyde Park, Utah. She leaves behind many close friends in Long Beach whom she dearly loved. Also many nieces and nephews who loved her like a Mom.
She never married but loved everyone. Her death resulted from an auto-pedestrian accident on September 28, 2006 and died on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Long Beach California.
There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hyde Park Center Street Church, 65 East Center Street. Friends may call at the church from 12:30-1:15 p.m. prior to services. Closed casket. Burial will follow at the Hyde Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Allen-Hall Mortuary.
