Thelma Chambers Speth was born May 17, 1925, and passed away September 5, 2013. Thelma was born in Smithfield, Utah. She lived there until her marriage to George Letho Speth on August 7, 1942. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions including a mission covering Singapore, Malaysia, and India. She loved sewing, gardening, and quilting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Letho; her parents, Theophilus and Addie Watson Chambers; seven brothers, and two sisters. Surviving are her sisters, Beth Speth, Donna Fae Hodges, and Karen Thalman; six children, Dennis George Speth, Theo Jed Speth, Charlene Wilde, Cheryl Huffaker, Ronald Lynn Speth, and Vivian Lee Sharp; 22 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 10, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at Allen Hall Mortuary. The funeral services will be held in the chapel at the mortuary on Tuesday, September 10, at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be directly following at the Smithfield Cemetery, Smithfield, Utah.
Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah.
