Millville --Thelma Barfuss Jenson 89, passed away on August 10,2008 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
She was born September 13, 1918 to Andrew and Louise Stoker Barfuss in Paris, Idaho. She married Milan Knute Jenson November 15, 1945. This marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Milan died January 29, 1983.
She attended High School in Paris. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. She served in the Primary and as a Relief Society visiting teacher for many years. She worked as a seamstress at the Mode O'Day factory for 31 years. After retiring in 1983, she served as an officiator in the Logan Temple for 18 years. She loved to travel, spend time with her family, watch movies and game shows and play games with the Great-Grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, one daughter and one nephew she helped raise, Ronald M. Jenson (Robyn), Lynn A. Jenson (Gloria), Loran J. Jenson (Tammi), Irene Jorgensen (Ray), all residing in Millville, Verner Lewis (Toni) Providence, three brothers and one sister Joseph Barfuss, Victor Barfuss, Raymond Barfuss, and Helen Iverson, one sister-in-law, Shirley Barfuss, 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers John Stucki, Charles Stucki, William Stucki, La Vaughn Barfuss, Louis Barfuss and sisters Grace Stucki and Alice Barfuss.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, August 14, 2008 in the Millville 1st Ward chapel with Bishop DeVon Labrum conducting. Friends may call at Allen-Hall Mortuary Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and at the Millville 1st Ward chapel on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Logan Regional Hospital staff for the loving care they gave our Mother.
