Theora Tuttle, Peterson, Sheets, Boulton, age 91, died on October 16, 2010 in North Logan, Utah. She was born September 8, 1919 in Manti, Utah. The was the second child born to Lamar and Zola Ottesen Tuttle.
Theora’s schooling took place primarily in Springville, Utah and later she attended BYU. She spent the first 37 years of her life in Utah, 15 years in LaCanada, California then back to Utah for the remainder of her life.
She married Andrew Ray Peterson, July 30, 1937 in Springville, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Rulon Tonks Sheets, December 21, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. Rulon passed away December 20, 1969. She married James Martin (Marty) Boulton, July 30, 1976. After Marty died on June 6, 2002, she continued doing what they had enjoyed doing together, working in the Manti Temple.
Theora was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. She held many ward and stake positions both in Utah and California. Some of her many church callings included, Primary Pres., teacher and Primary Stake Board, teacher in the Y.W.M.I.A., Relief Society Pres., counselor and teacher. She was a visiting teacher for over 70 years. She served two Stake Missions and she and Marty served together in the Singapore Mission spending time in Malaysia and India.
Theora was a “People Person” and very caring to her family and friends. She enjoyed her family attending their special functions and especially having them come with her and Marty in their family cabin.
She was a member of the Cultural Arts Club in Springville, Utah and the Daughter’s of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed working in her rose garden, quilting, crocheting and various handwork.
Theora was a hard worker starting by helping her mother with 9 siblings. She worked out of the home for many years. She enjoyed her last employment working with the RSVP program in Provo.
She is survived by children, Karen (Dan) Peck, Perry, Utah; Peggy (Dan) Castro, West Jordan, Utah; Diane (Kay) Cutler, Orem, Utah; Clark (Jodi) Boulton, Cypress, CA; David (Sheri) Boulton, Ocala, FL; Michael (Billie) Boulton, SLC., UT. 48 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands, parents, one son, four sisters, five bothers and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 in the Perry 5th Ward Chapel, 2450 South 900 West, Perry, Utah where friends may call on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery - Springville, Utah approximately 3:30 p.m.
