Theron Craig Olsen returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and loved ones who were anxiously awaiting him on December 14th at 4:44 AM. He suffered a major heart attack and was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing.
Theron was born on October 16th 1946, in Logan, UT to Carrol LeGrande Olsen and Margaret LaVerda Hawkes Olsen. He graduated from Logan High School then enrolled into college at Utah State University. He completed his education at the University of Utah and received his Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Theron served during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He loved his country and was very patriotic. He had a great sense of humor and always loved to make people laugh. He was an avid hunter and a great fisherman. He spent most of his childhood hunting with his dad. Theron was always grateful and appreciative for his family, friends, and most of all for his Father in Heaven. His love for God and the teachings of Jesus Christ helped lift him up, and comforted him throughout his life. He served in many callings for the church, always with great willingness to help. He loved and spoiled his sweet little cat “Star” and both were inseparable. He loved spending his time at the Cache County Senior Citizens Center and loved helping those in need. He made many close friends that are near and dear to his heart.
The family would like to express their extreme love and gratitude towards all of the help they received from by-standers, medical staff, and the support of family and friends.
Survived by his kids.
Kimberly (Rich)Olsen, Brett (Michele)Olsen, Angela Olsen James, Nathan Olsen, Michael Olsen, Emily Olsen Whipperman and many loving grandkids, His brother Brent (Elaine) Olsen. Sister/Best friend DeAnn (Clyde)Leishman.
Preceded by death of his parents Carrol and LaVerda Olsen, Brothers Lornell, Deloy, Jerry, and Rulon Olsen.
Theron also was deeply loved by his many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing services will be held Monday, December 20th from 6-8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary (34 E Center St, Logan). Funeral service will take place Tuesday, December 21st beginning at 1:00pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, with a viewing prior from 11 to 12:30pm. Interment to follow in the Logan City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the “Cache County Senior Citizens Center” and the “American Diabetes Association”
