Born in Salt Lake City Utah to William Stuart Horlacher and Doris Mary Coleman Horlacher, Tom was the second of four boys. He grew up in the Sugarhouse area and served a mission in Georgia and Alabama.
Tom married Betty Hill in the Logan Utah Temple on January 10, 1976. Together they raised 8 children and owned and operated Horlacher's Meats. Tom worked as a meat cutter, mechanic, house builder, and general workaholic. He found joy in completing projects and helping others.
Tom was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various church callings including Scouting, Elders Quorum, High Priest Group, Sunday School, Temple Worker and most recently as Branch President in the Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center. He delighted in sharing the gospel and served two full time missions, one with his wife in the Edmonton Canada mission, assigned to the Yellowknife branch.
Tom loved the gospel and showed it in the way he lived each day.
Tom is proceeded in death by his parents and two grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Betty, 8 children- Skie (Bret) Jenson, Dawn (Michael) Sorokine, Dustin (Emily) Horlacher, Coral (Christopher) Johnson, Indigo (Seanna) Stinnett, Tyson (Rachel) Horlacher, Rusty (Katherine) Horlacher, Jade Horlacher and 23 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 29, 2023 at 1:00 pm at 89 South 200 West Logan, Utah with a visitation at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at the Logan Utah Cemetery.
