Thomas Sidney Hurren passed away July 13, 2013 from complications of diabetes. Tom was born October 4, 1942 in Logan, Utah to Sidney F. And Jenness Fulkerson Hurren. He grew up in Hyde Park, attended Cache Valley Schools, and graduated from North Cache High.
During his youth he loved basketball. Tom coached several years in the Bantam Basketball Leagues and hopefully influenced many young men. Tom was an avid sports fan. He had an uncanny ability to recall sports trivia. Especially to do with the New York Yankees. He was also a collector of sports memorabilia.
He was a member of the Utah National Guard for six years. He was self employed most of his life working in the catering business. Tom lived and worked in the Los Angeles area for about 30 years. He later moved back to Cache Valley to retire.
He is preceeded in death by this parents and a brother, Michael. He is survived by his brothers Robert of Odgen and John of Montpelier and their families.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen-Hall Mortuary.
A private memorial will be held by his immediate family.
