HYRUM, UTAH - Thomas Keith "Tom" Reynolds, Sr., age 56, of Hyrum, Utah, joined our heavenly father on Saturday, August 14,2010. Thomas Keith "Tom" Reynolds, Sr. was born on April 17, 1954, in Arcata, California, the second son of Ernest Francis Reynolds, Jr. and Helen Patricia (Martin)
Reynolds.
He attended schools in California before moving to Mackey, Idaho in 1970 and then to Arco, Idaho in 1971. It was while attending Butte County High School in Arco, Idaho that he met his wife, Angela Marie Peterson. They were married on January 29, 1972, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Arco, Idaho.
While in high school and following graduation, Tom worked for the Husky Service Station in Arco, Idaho before enrolling in welding school in Weiser, Idaho where he earned a welding certificate. Tom and his brothers worked on the Teton Dam Project and following the dam burst formed G.B.T. Reynolds Construction with their father to aide in the cleanup. He worked in the lumber and construction industries in the 1970's; however, it was his love of trucks that led him back to his real calling for driving. He drove for several companies including Arlo G. Lott & Sons, E.A. Miller, Stokes, Miller Brothers Feed Yard and Maverick. He reached his goal of becoming an owner/operator in June of 2005, when he purchased his own truck and trailer and started Thomas Keith Reynolds Trucking, LLC. Tom joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1976 while living in Pocatello, Idaho. He was proud of mentoring young boys in his role as Assistant Scout Master in Hyrum and offered many words of encouragement. He was well known, respected and loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all.
Tom is survived by his wife,Angela ReynQlds of Hyrum, Utah; his children, Jason Reynolds of Hyrum, Utah; Thomas (Stacy) Reynolda Jr. of Gillette, Wyoming; Stephanie (Flint) Mathews of Hyrum, Utah; Brandon Reynolds of Hyrum, Utah; and Justin Reynolds of Hyrum, Utah; twelve grandchildren, Saydee, Braden, Britton, Seth, Blaine, Arianna, Bailey, Taylor, Melissa, Kayla, Trent and Karlie; parents, Ernest and Helen Reynolds of Gillette. Wyoming; brothers, John (Nicki) Reynolds of Gillette, Wyoming and George Reynolds of Riverton, Wyoming; sister, Rebecca (Ted) Holdeman of Gillette, Wyoming; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and ZelIa (Hopper) Reynolds, Fredrick L. Martin, Harold and Helen (Martin) Nichols.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 200 E. 550 S. in Hyrum, Utah. Viewing services will be Friday, August 20,2010 from 6:00 p,m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center in Logan, and from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
