Tim Lawlor
Our dear and loving Tim “Toad” Lawlor passed away in his home Saturday November 29th, 2014 in Logan. There is no doubt of the beautiful, happy reunion he is having with so many loved ones who have gone on before him. To Tim ~ family, friends & his love for all of them where everything.
Tim was born May 20th 1960 in Provo, Utah. He spent his very early years there, and when he was nine the Lawlor family moved to Hyde Park, Ut. Tim spent the next several years living in the beautiful rural countryside of Cache Valley with his family. He grew up with wonderful and loving people surrounding him there. Tim loved to roam the hillsides and byways of Hyde Park with his brothers & sister, and his many close friends. In 1979 Timmy moved with his parents to River Heights, Ut. He had been attending the Logan City School District, from which he graduated in 1978. Throughout his lifetime, he made countless dear and lasting relationships. He had an incredible “gift for gab” and humor, with a great sense of adventure. Tim loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman & camper, but one of his truest passions was rock hounding. Tim loved rocks! To Timmy, rocks and minerals were absolute treasures. His other treasures were those people close to him. Tim forever tried to be a friend to all, and he treated his friends like family, because to him they where (and are). Tim would do anything for a person in need, and he gave freely of all he had. Tim lived out the rest of his years in Logan, and although he certainly had his share of struggles and challenges, he came to know and have a true and abiding love for his Savior Jesus Christ, and this brought him every sense of peace. Knowing our Timmy, he is certainly smiling down on all of us now, and we love and miss him so very much.
Tim is survived by his Brothers Ed (Julie) Lawlor of Smithfield, Shawn (DeLaine) Lawlor of Logan, and sister Jolinn (Eric) Andriese of South Jordan. Also many wonderful nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is proceeded in death by his parents Ian “Ike” and Colleen Lawlor, and sister Kathy Lawlor Bowen Petersen.
There will be a graveside service at Smithfield City Cemetery on Thursday, December 4th 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences and memories can be shared online at
