Todd Garff Weston died August 13,2006 in the quiet of the evening at his home. He was overcome by bile duct and liver cancer. He was born September 19,1926 to Herbert R. and Karma Dunford Weston. He was raised in Logan, attending schools there, and later he attended the Utah State Agricultural College. His education also included flight training during WW II as he yearned to be a Naval Aviator.
He married Ruth Joyce Fornoff on October 16, 1946. They were true and faithful to each other always. They were blessed with 5 children. Bart (Judy) Weston of River Heights, Randy (Debi) Weston of Logan, Joyce (Greg) Oman of Farmington, Julie (Jim) Ridd of Fruit Heights and Sam (Judy) Weston of River Heights. Todd and Joyce are proud of their 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His sister Venice Fetter of Sacramento, CA is the only surviving sibling. His parents and 3 brothers and 3 sisters have gone before him.
His earthly labors were in all kinds of businesses. He dry farmed in Arbon Valley with his father and 3 brothers, they owned and operated Central Milling Company in Logan, he raised chickens in River Heights, he developed 5 subdivisions and built dozens of quality homes, he owned real estate, with his brothers they created Weston Motels, Inc. owning motels in Idaho, Utah and Arizona including the Weston Inn and Comfort Inn in Logan, he collected and restored vintage automobiles and did anything else he thought would be a good buy and an even better sale.
He was Utah Governor for Best Western International for 10 years. His political life gave him the chance to serve the citizens of Utah for many years. He labored in the River Heights City Council (1956-1963), Cache County Commissioner (1963-1972), Representative in the Utah State Legislature (1973-1978), Commissioner to the Utah Department of Transportation (1985-1997). His efforts and influence was responsible for the completion of the four lane highway through the canyon from Wellsville to Brigham City. He was Cache Chamber of Commerce Total Citizen of the Year in 1989. He was currently the Mayor of River Heights.
He served in his church in bishoprics, stake high councils, stake presidencies and as a stake missionary. He has left us now for a time; his influence and presence cannot be filled by anyone else.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2006 at the River Heights Stake Center, 800 South 600 East, River Heights, Utah. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah, and prior to services at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
