Tyler J. Gunnell

April 15, 1969 — August 22, 2008

Tyler J. Gunnell, 39, passed away suddenly at his home in Marceline, Missouri, Friday Aug,. 22,2008 of heart failure. Tyler was born Apri115, 1969 to Jerry & Lana Gunnell the second of their five children.
Tyler grew up in Providence and attended school in the Cache County School District. He graduated from Mountain Crest High School & L.D.S. Seminary. He loved golf and was a member of the Mountain Crest Golf Team. He served two years in the Texas Houston Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tyler always had a great love of nature, which was enhanced through his high school classes in photography & art and influenced all aspects of his life.
He was employed by Herff Jones Yearbooks, originally as a Pressman's Helper. Then his Higher Education really began. Tyler traveled extensively with his work and became very knowledgeable about print technology and equipment. He enjoyed the challenges that pertained to his work within the printing industry.
Another chapter in his life began when he met his sweetheart, Julie Latham, also an employee of Herff Jones. Julie is the daughter of the late Dr. Glenn I. Latham and Louise Latham of North Logan, Utah. Tyler & Julie were married August 7, 1993 and resided in Logan where they both enjoyed their work associations with the wonderful people at the plant. They just recently, Noyember, 2007, transferred to the plant located in Marceline, Missouri and are there associated with another group of delightful and industrious people.
Tyler will always be remembered for his quiet example, and respect and love for everyone he met. And everyone loved Tyler! Everyone was a friend. He was a true example of unconditional love. He was a magnet for children and especially enloyed time spent with his nieces and nephews.

Tyler is survived by his wife, Julie, his parents, Jerry and Lana Gunnell, mother-in-law, Louise Latham, sisters Sherice Maughan, Jami Sue Venhaus (Scott), brothers, Sheyler Jared Gunnell, Reggie Louis (Kimberly), grandparents Louis and Edra Gunnell, nieces Kaelie Sue Francom, Aspen Shae Maughan, Harlie Jae Maughan, Mickenzi Venhaus and Mayci Elizabeth Venhaus, nephews, Jerret Paul Venhaus, Cooper Jared Gunnell and Griffen James Gunnell. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin H. and Stella Archhibald, father-in-law, Dr. Glenn I. Latham, and a special friend, Randall Hoth.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2008 in the Providence 1st / 4th Ward Chapel, 155 North 100 East in Providence. A viewing will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and prior to services on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the church.
