Vada Tucker Nielsen, 89 of Providence, passed away peacefully at Logan Regional Hospital on August 10, 2014, surrounded by her family. Vada was born July 21, 1925 in Fairview, Utah, to George Que and Goldie Terry Tucker.
She attended school in Fairview and Mt. Pleasant and was a graduate of North Sanpete High School. After high school she worked as a secretary for Lee Nebeker Insurance Agency in Salt Lake City. They first established their home in Hyrum, and later built a home on their dairy farm in Nibley where they raised their family. They retired to Vada’s dream home in Providence.
Vada was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many church callings. She and her husband Lynn enjoyed serving a mission on Temple Square in Salt Lake. After their mission they served as ordinance workers in the Logan LDS Temple making many friends and memories.

Vada and Lynn enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states in the USA as well as traveling abroad. They took pleasure in social gatherings with their friends, participating in the Continental Dance Club, and in their later years weekly events at the Hyrum Senior Citizens Center.
Vada’s family was the joy of her life. Even with such a great legacy of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and in-laws, she possessed the most amazing ability to convey an individual and personal love.
