Vada Tims Thomas

March 1, 1927 — December 31, 2014

LOGAN, UTAH: Our beloved Vada Tims Thomas slipped quietly into the arms of Heavenly Father on December 31, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona. She is survived by her twin sister, Rada Stones, her daughter, Patricia Jones, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
On March 1, 1927, Vada was born to LeRoy and Virginia Tims in Logan, UT where she was raised. She married Joseph Diaz and moved to southern California where she reared their two daughters. She retired after working for 32 years as a manager for AT &T.
She later married Don Thomas, and thereafter became fondly known as Grandma T. They moved to Washington where she enjoyed, journaling, hiking, music, and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Thomas and her daughter, Gina Osuna, at which time she moved back to Logan. In 2012 she blessed the lives of her children by moving to Phoenix, AZ to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Vada was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving her family and others. We will miss her, but her legacy of love, service and faith will live forever in our hearts.
A Memorial will be held for her on Saturday, January 10, at 10:00 AM in the Relief Society Room of the LDS Church at 465 North 300 East, Providence, UT 84332. She will be buried in her family plot in the Logan City Cemetery. Funeral directors are Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.allenmortuaries.net
