Vance Follett Bindrup passed away suddenly on April 4, 2014. He was born on June 24, 1945 to Karl O. Bindrup and Ramona Follett, along with his twin sister Verda Virginia, in Logan, Utah. His childhood was spent in River Heights. He graduated in 1963 from South Cache High. (Where he met his longtime friend Terry Mitton.) Together they joined the Navy and Vance was honorably discharged in 1967.
He married Georgia Lee in 1970. Together they had their only child Ricky and later divorced.
Vance was an accomplished dry waller and took much pride in his work. He loved warm weather and sunshine. He spent the last few winters in St. George with his son and grandchildren. This last winter he took an extended vacation to spend time with his dear friends Rich and Mark in the California sunshine. His summers were spent at his favorite place, Bear Lake; with his brother and family on the boat. (Getting a nice tan.)
Vance is survived by his only child Richard F. Bindrup and spouse Collette. Grandchildren Ashle (Jordan) Bishop, Joslin T. Bindrup and Dakota J. Bindrup. He was a proud Grandpa. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Karl A. (Barbara) Bindrup, Toni (Verner) Lewis, Jean (H. Clair) Parker, Ramon F. (Karen) Bindrup and Verda (Paul) Clayburn. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ramon.
Vance had many longtime friends and would do anything thing for anyone, no questions or judgement. We would like to give a special thanks to Michele Mitton for all of the love and care she has given Vance through out the years.
As per Vance's wishes there will be a Celebration of Life, "A PARDUE!" at a later date when the the weather is warm.
