Vella May Allen Blazzard, 75, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Vella May was born on April 30, 1930, in Logan, to Rogers Warren Allen and Mercy Gibbons Glenn. She attended Schools in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1948, and attended Utah State University and Stevens Henager College in Salt Lake. After school she worked at KVNU radio station which she enjoyed very much.
She married Theron R. Blazzard on October 7, 1955, in the Logan Temple and then lived in Salt Lake City, Bountiful Utah, Rawlins, Wyoming, and Broomfield and Lafayette, Colorado while he worked in the oil and gas industry as a petroleum geologist.
She is survived by three children, Jeannette of Salt Lake, Brian of Lafayette Colorado and Evelyn of Logan, also by brothers Robert (pat) and Richard (Margaret) and preceded in death by Parents and an older brother Glenn.
Vella May enjoyed bowling an bowled in leagues for many years.
She also had a great love for genealogy and spent many years working in the church family history centers and also doing name extraction.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday April22nd 2006, at the Foothill 1st Ward Chapel at 1450 East 1500 North, Logan, Utah, with Bishop Eric Rasmussen conducting. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday April 21st at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary at 420 East 1800 North in North Logan and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
