Velma Larsen Speth

July 7, 1925 — September 4, 2016

Velma L. Speth returned to her Heavenly Father on September 4, 2016 in Brigham City, Utah surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 7, 1925 in Wellsville, Utah, daughter of James N. and Luella Smith Larsen. She graduated from South Cache High School. She had worked for many years at Everton Publishers and retired from USU Extension Services. She enjoyed playing golf, attending her great grandchildren’s soccer and lacrosse games, dance and cheer competitions and orchestra concerts.

Velma was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many positions in the Relief Society and Primary.

She married Dennis T. Speth on October 15, 1946 and they were the parents of four children, Tana, Connie, Jim (Sandy) and Cindy. She has three grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, a sister, Marie Elwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, James and Marlin and her parents.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the Wellsville Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.allenmortuaries.net
