HYRUM, UT - Venita C. Albertsen passed away on May 27th after a short illness.
Venita was born on March 17, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry Edders Smith and Gurine Petersen. At the age of 12, she and her sister Selma were adopted by Levi and Harriett Crowshaw of Hyrum and later sealed to the Crowshaws in the Logan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Venita married Weldon Albertsen on Oct. 5, 1948. He died on Sept 6, 1990. Together they loved to go camping and fishing.
She was a member of the Hyrum 1st Ward where she served in many callings, especially anything to do with music.
She was preceded in death by her sister Selma, and a brother John.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 4th at the Hyrum City Cemetery. A viewing will be held the night before, Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan.
