Verlene Adams

May 14, 1932 — July 24, 2013

Verlene Palmer Adams passed away July 24, 2013 in Spanish Fork, Utah at the
home of her daughter Diane, and was reunited with her loving husband Grant after
many years. Verlene was born in Moreland, Idaho on May 14, 1932 on the 9th
Wedding Anniversary of her parents. She is the daughter of Glen Charles and Cora
Hokansen Palmer.

The family moved to Grace, Idaho on April Fool's Day, when she was 11 months
old. Verlene attended school in Grace and was active in many functions and clubs.
She was the first woman to serve as Grace High School Junior Class President.
Verlene met Grant Allen Adams following his mission and was married December
7,1951 in the Logan Temple. They spent their married life in Riverside and
Techapahi, California, where they were active in the Branch and other activities of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

They were blessed with six children. In 1966 Grant died in an automobile accident in California and Verlene and the children moved to Logan. She worked for State Farm Insurance and Zions
Bank for many years. Verlene had the privilege of serving a mission for the LDS Church in Tampa, Florida and as an ordinance worker in the Logan Temple.

She is survived by her 6 children: David (Cherie) Adams, Craig (Becky) Adams,
Patricia (Matt) Limburg, Colleen (Matt) Nielson, Glen (Shereen) Adams, Diane
(Bret) Martin, 27 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and sister Betty (Keith) Nelsen
She was preceded in death by her husband Grant, a sister Evelyn Home, a brother
Eldon Palmer, and a precious granddaughter, Kirstyn Curtis. The family would like to thank the many angels who assisted our dear mother in her final years, especially Encompass Hospice of Logan and Orem, plus many other friends, neighbors and health professionals.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 29 at Allen Hall Mortuary 34 E.
Center St. in Logan. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM and from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery following the services. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
