Beaver Dam, Utah: Verl Lawrence Durrant, 73, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 after a long illness.
He was born on February 2, 1934 in Bear River City, Utah to Lawrence LeRoy Durrant and Wenona Hansen. Verl loved horses and family and spent a great deal of time with both. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Juliene Durrant, and children: Daniel (Lori) Durrant of Orangevale, CA; Darcie (Kelly) Johnson of Pleasant Grove; Utah, Sami Durrant of Providence, Utah; Keven (Shaylyn) Ekins of Thatcher, Idaho; Chris (Ernestina) of Burley, Idaho; Rusty Ekins of Beaver Dam, Utah; Cindy (Bruce) Gibbs of Kanab, Utah; and Michelle (Rod) Winters of Modera, CA; plus 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings: Ralph (Kristine) Durrant of West Jordan, Utah; Beth Hill of Cal-nev-ari and Rene (Dan) Schrieber of Sedona, Arizona.
Verl’s favorite saying was: “Born to rope, Forced to work.”
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family at Box Elder Credit Union for Verl Durrant.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 8 at the Beaver Dam Chapel,16025 N Beaver Dam Rd in Beaver Dam. A viewing will be held from 9-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Beaver Dam Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
