Vertis M. Bodily
LEWISTON, UTAH: Vertis Matkin Bodily, age 78, son of Christopher and Blanche Bodily, past peacefully to the other side on Thursday morning, July 28,2005.
Vertis was born in the family home on the farm in Lewiston, Utah on February 9, 1927. He lived his entire life in the family home. Vertis served an LDS Mission in the Central States.
He served in the occupational forces in Japan at the end of WWII. Vertis married Norma Mary Anderson on July 21, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple.
He is survived by his wife; and children, Janice (Loyd) Field of Lewiston, UT; Marilyn Miller of Spanish Fork, UT; Stan (Alison) Bodily of Logan, UT; Fizz (Carla) Bodily of Lewiston, UT;
Scott Bodily of Las Vegas, NV. a sister Ardel (Cleo) Cherry of Yuma, AZ; two sisters-in-law , Alta (Suel) Bodily of Idaho Falls, ID; and Wanda (Bardo) Bodily of Lewiston, UT, thirteen grandchildren and two great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlie, three brothers, Bardo, Arlo, Suel and a son, Boyd Bodily.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at 12:00 pm at the Lewiston 1 st & 2nd Ward chapel, 10 South 1600 West, Lewiston. There will be a viewing held Monday from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview, ID Cemetery.
