On Febuary 15th in 1939 Camilla Tebbs and Leslie B. Henrie brought a tiny baby boy into this world. They named him Victor. He spent his first days warming by an old stove in Panguitch Ut. Vic grew up loving the water; outdoors; fishing and mischief. Under foot and loved by big sister Calene. Sister’s Karen and Viviene came soon to repay the favor. And baby brother Kenneth was fav’d by all.
He spent most of his school days in Ogden but returned to his home town of Panguitch to graduate high school. He moved on to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Airforce. He met and married Janett Cox in Ogden where Ronald Victor and Linda J. were born. Vic earned a BS in business management and soon found a new job; moving the family to sunny Simi Valley CA. Where John Leslie was born and brought smiles to all. Vic or Henrie as he was sometimes known; enjoyed the ocean and could swim like a fish. He even taught his daughter to do a back flip.
He added daughter-in-law Tricia, John’s sweetheart to stay. Their four beautiful children: Saigelyn, Jaden, Jennifer and Isaac, came along the way. Linda brought four wild boys full of fun. Son’s: Camron(his wife Sharon), Devin, Trenton and Brysen. And Dearest Ron left us at age 40, far too soon. Leaving his sweet daughter Alicia, who has beautifully bloomed.
In Logan Utah, on Wednesday the 15th of January; after 74 years of adventure, learning, heartache and courage; Vic passed from this life. The beautiful kind people at Williamsburg and IAC Hospice, to help with his final journey. Fellow residents he called friends. Staff whose job it wasn’t-but did anyway. Your genuine love touched our hearts.
We can’t say there was much easy about Vic and his choices in life. But he had a wicked sense of humor and he cared immensely, even though he struggled to show it. He loved his family and friends deeply.
A memorial service will be held at the LDS Chapel located at 455 East 100 South Hyrum Ut.,on Saturday January 25, 2014 at 11:00 with a luncheon to follow.
