Virginia Neddo Cooley grew up splitting her time between Providence Utah and parts of Idaho. In Providence, she lived with her aunt's Anne and Ella Neddo, who were teachers. Teaching was in her blood. She worked multiple jobs to pay for her education and graduated from Utah State University with a Masters in early childhood education. She taught Kindergarten through 2nd grade at Providence Elementary, until she retired. She had a love for growing things and went back later in life to earn her Certificate in Horticulture, also from Utah State University.
She met Norris Cooley, whom she fell in love with and married. They were faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and were sealed in the temple. They have two children, Justin and Aimee. She was the last of her siblings. Norris passed away earlier this year and mother missed him immensely. That they are together again is a great comfort.
We will be celebrating her life January 8th with a memorial from 11 to 1 at the Newton church.
