Virginia Mary Williams Patterson, 88, died at home, of causes incident to age just four days shy of her 89th birthday. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia was born February 20, 1927 in Modesto, California to Elmer Frank and Lynda Caroline Gerloff Williams. She graduated from Manteca High School in Manteca, CA. Prior to moving to North Logan, Utah in July of 2012, she lived in Manteca and Fresno California.
She worked as a manicurist and in a jewelry store.
Virginia married James Patterson August 31, 1947 in Stockton, CA. The family joined the LDS Church April 27, 1962 and their marriage was solemnized August 31, 1963 in the Oakland California Temple.
Her church callings included teaching Young Women and Relief Society. She served as Relief Society President. She with her husband, served a Bishop’s Storehouse mission in Fresno, CA. They also served in the Fresno Hmong Branch for two years.
She loved painting with water color, oil and china painting. She was a gifted homemaker; loved decorating, making bread, candy, home renovation and was a fantastic seamstress.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years in North Logan; two daughters, Kathleen White, North Logan; Lynda (John) Minazzoli, Fresno, CA.
Also surviving are three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 18 at 12 Noon in the Logan City Cemetery. Friends may visit family members, Thursday from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services at Allen’s North Logan Mortuary, 420 E and 1800 North, North Logan.
