Wallace A Cottle

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Wallace A Cottle October 20th 2015 at Logan Regional Hospital from complications related to pneumonia.
Wally was born March 6, 1931 in Stone, Idaho to Leland T. and Clara Anderson Cottle. He was sealed in the Logan Temple to Melva Ravsten February 26, 1951. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year. In his early years Wally was known for his ability with a “Cat” and scraper leveling land in Utah, Idaho, and Washington. He thereafter spent 33 years at Thiokol Corp. retiring in July 1992. He and Melva raised 7 Children. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving 9 years as an officiator in the Logan Temple. He enjoyed spending time with family, training horses, and roping. He rode range for the Malad Cattleman’s Association for a number of years. Wally was a widely known and highly respected horseman and spent a high percentage of his life on the back of a horse.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leland T. and Clara Cottle, sisters Bea Boman, Lea Maughan and Alice Hulse, and son, Stanley Wallace Cottle.
He is survived by his wife Melva (Ravsten), brothers Leland A, Mel, Steve, and Ed Cottle, children Allen, Mike, Eugene, Duane, Annette (Rindlisbacher) and Jay, 23 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday October 24, 2015 in the Clarkston First Ward LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North in North Logan and prior to the services on Saturday at the church from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
