Walter H. Kirschman

January 25, 1931 — April 7, 2011

Walter Howard Kirschman, unerringly, completely and totally devoted, constant and loving Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away suddenly, peacefully, much too soon and characteristically unplanned and unannounced at 2:45am, Thursday 7 April, 2011.
He was born 25 January 1931 in Emmaus Pennsylvania to Georg H. and Jane Kirschman.
Walt Graduated form Muhlenberg College, PA, with a B.S. degree in chemistry. It was while serving in England with the U.S. Air force that Walt met the pretty little 18 year old, sassy English girl Linda Mary Smith, who captured his heart forever. Walt and Linda were married 24th of September 19555 in St. Peters, Broadstairs, England. Together in England, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and finally their true home in Logan, Utah, Walt and Linda raised six children.
Walt Retired from Thiokol Corp as a Quality Engineer.
Throughout his entire life, this quiet, unassuming, gentle, funny and loving man was true to his love Linda, his family, his God and his Church. He loved to play jazz bass and his claim to fame was playing a set with the Great Count Basie in a club in Chicago. Walt loved to play croquet and horseshoes, picnics, cookouts, and mostly being with Linda and playing with their children and grandchildren. All that can or needs to be said is, he was a good man.
Walter was preceded in death by an infant son, Clifford, his parents, and his Eternal Love Linda.
He is survived by his six children who love him and miss him too much, and by thirty-seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
