Warren E. Davenport

July 21, 1912 — March 30, 2011

Warren Ellis Davenport, beloved husband, father & grandfather passed away on March 30th, 2011 in Sandy Utah. He was born
July 21st, 1912 in Bull Run, Multnomah County, Oregon to Warren Ellis Sr. & Marantina Gronaman Davenport. At the age of 2 the family moved to Spray, Oregon. He lived there for several years, attending school and working at various jobs before finally becoming a sawyer at the age of 21 for the local lumber mill. He married Anna Templeton in 1934 and they were later sealed in the Logan temple on July 5th, 1944. Their union was blessed with 7 children. Warren was a faithful member of the LDS church fulfilling many callings throughout his life. The family moved from Spray, Oregon to Meridian Idaho in 1951 to be closer to the church. A compassionate and caring man, he was always helping anyone in need. He loved music and played several instruments. An accomplished carpenter, he built everything from motorized go-carts to the homes the family lived in. After retiring in 1976, he took care of his wife for many years until she died in 2001. He then
lived with his children for a time until he needed more care . He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter Carol & son James Warren and is survived by children Ron (Claire), Judy (Marlin) Anderson, Sandra (Steve) Burke, Tim (Alisa), & Tam (Cliff) Smith, many grandchildren & great grandchildren. We are grateful for the care given to him by the staff at Country Care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 9, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center, Logan. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday evening from 6 to 8pm and on Saturday morning one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
