Wendell George Johnson, Logan, Utah, passed through the vail on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife, Carol, and his family. Wendell was born on February 22, 1939 in Logan, Utah to Joseph Wesley Johnson and Anne Izatt Johnson. He was welcomed by his sister and twin brother who was born nine minutes earlier. Wendell joined the marines in 1956 and served until 1958 in Okinawa, Japan. He married Carol K. Brown on July 25, 1956 and they raised a family together in Logan, Utah. Wendell learned the value of hard work at an early age. He worked at Thiokol then E.A. Miller. He drove trucks for Millers for 40 years before moving into management for the next 20 years. He loved driving and enjoyed seeing the country both while working and for fun. He would often take trips with his wife and family road-tripping to various places. Wendell was always happy to offer help to anyone who needed it, even if he was the one who needed help more. He was a kind man, loved his wife, family, friends, and dogs. He’ll be missed by many, as he was loved by all. Wendell is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol K. Brown, sons: Jeffrey W. Johnson (Michele), Gregory S. Johnson, Michael T. Johnson (Monique), 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family wants to thank the staff at Intermountain Health ICU for all the wonderful care, support, and respect that was given to Wendell and his family during his hospital stay. Thank you to all the special friends and ward members for their love and support.
