Wesley Edward Ohlwiler, 68, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007 in an automobile accident in Box Elder County. He was born July 14, 1938 in Logan, Utah to John Wendell and Edna (Oldham) Ohlwiler. He grew up in Paradise and attended elementary school there. He attended South Cache High School and following high school, entered the military service. He served for ten years in the Air Force. He married Georgette Louise Benot on October 12, 1963. They were later divorced. Following his service in the Air Force, he worked as a civil engineer in Vietnam, Italy, and the Marshall Islands. While in the Marshall Islands, he met and married Naiko (Edmond) Ohlwiler on April 15, 1976. Upon returning to Paradise with his family, he was employed by North American Weather Consultants as a cloud seeder and for Paradise Irrigation and Porcupine Reservoir Canal Company as water master.
Wesley was a big hearted, kind individual. He was a loving husband and father, and will be missed greatly by his community and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Edward P. and Annie O. Oldham, and John Fredrick and Rhoda Hicken Ohlwiler, and stepson Ninbwil Stanny Ohlwiler. He is survived by his wife, two children, eight stepchildren, and brother, Alan K., and sister-in-law Juliann Ohlwiler.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 9, at the Paradise 2nd & 3rd Ward chapel. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, April 8 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St, Logan, and from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, prior to services at the church.
