William Young Gunnell

LAKE HAVISU, ARIZONA : William (Bill) Gunnell,74, passed away on May 24, 2010 in the Lake Havasu Arizona hospital following surgery.
Bill was born in Logan, Utah on April 20th 1936, he was the son of Bernice and Howard Johnson and George B. Gunnell.
Bill was raised in Benson, and graduated from North Cache High school after which he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he was stationed on the aircraft carrier, the U.S.S. Wasp.
After a honorable discharge from the navy he moved to California, where he spent his career in the lumber business.
Bill married his sweetheart, Florence Marilynn Jensen on the 19th of June 1959, in the Los Angeles Temple.
In 2007 he sold his wholesale lumber business, retired and relocated to Lake Havasu Arizona where he and his family had a home.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marilynn, son, Marty (Lu Ann) of LaHabra, California; son, Steven (Judy) of San Diego, California. daughter, Wendi Hayden (Dan) and sons Gary (Hiroe) and Billy and Mother-­in-law, Betty Jensen all of Lake Havasu Arizona.
Bill is also survived by sisters D'On Reese (Lee), Margaret Lofthouse (Joyner), brothers Paul Johnson (Debra), Randy Johnson (Beverly), all of Benson, Utah. Brother Dick (the late Bobbie) of Santa Paula, California. Brother Robert Johnson (Kristie) and brother-in-law, Clair Nielsen (Sylvia), Logan, Utah. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings Jean Nielsen and Dean Gunnell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2nd at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan at 12:00 noon with a viewing from 10:00 - 11:30 am. He will be buried in the family plot in the Logan City Cemetery with military honors. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
