Yancey Edwin Spackman

April 3, 1965 — December 28, 2008

Ogden, Utah: Our beloved son, brother, and uncle, Yancey Edwin Spackman, 43, passed away December 28th, 2008, at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He was born April 3rd, 1965, in Logan, Utah to Barbara Smith Spackman Jas and Craig Harris Spackman.
Yancey graduated in 1983 from Sky View High School. After graduating he joined the National Guard and later married his high school sweetheart, Theresa Richards and was later divorced. Yancey excelled in everything he did making supervisor at the last four jobs he held including his last employment at West Point Dairy their he met the love of his life "Tina". He was intensively loved by each and everyone of his family members. Being the "gentle giant" in our family he had a soft heart and never had a bad thing to say about anyone.
He was preceded in death by his father Craig Harris Spackman, both sets of grandparents Ted and Elna Spackman; Elwood and Ida Smith.
Yancey is survived by his mother Barbara Smith Jas and Richard Jas; his brother Tony Spackman; and one sister Stephanie Spackman (Robert) and four neices, Jade Barret, Kestle and Tennesa Spackman and the joy of his life Natosha Spackman (niece) and two nephews Braxton and Coleton Spackman.
A viewing will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, on Monday, January 5, 2009, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net .
