YEVONNE LARSEN

Ethel Yevonne Porter Larsen returned home to her Heavenly Father February 9, 2006 at her home in Cove, Utah surrounded by family & friends. Her passing marked the end of a long & valiant struggle with ovarian cancer.

She was born March 22, 1935 to Spencer and Elva Porter. She was raised in Lewiston and attended Lewiston Elementary, Jr. High, and graduated from North Cache High School and seminary. She attended USU for 2 years then attended Heneger’s Business College in Ogden. She worked as a secretary and later as an operator for Bell Telephone. She married Gene Handy Larsen October 3, 1958, and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. She lived her entire married life in Cove.

She served in many church callings including Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary, and especially loved working with the Primary children.

She was a homemaker who had many talents. She loved cooking, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking and all types of handwork. She also loved working in her yard and garden. As a farmers wife she had the added responsibility of driving tractors, trucks, feeding calves, and delivering meals to the field.
