Zella O’Neta Wadsworth Roberts beloved wife, mother and daughter passed away February 15, 2012 peaceably in South Jordan, Utah.
She was born December 3, 1919 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Eli Arnold Wadsworth and Sarah Ann Humphreys. She served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States Mission. She met her future husband Norman Keith Roberts at a Mission reunion several years later. She and Keith (deceased October 20, 2001) were married November 14, 1944 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
They are the parents of five children: Norman Bruce Roberts (deceased), Brent Wadsworth Roberts, Roland Keith Roberts, Maile Thelma Gray and Carol Marie Peacock. The family traveled around the world with Keith who worked as an Agricultural Economist with Utah State University spending time in Bolivia, Iran and Egypt. She and Keith served in the LDS Bolivian Mission from 1969 to 1972 where Keith served as the Mission President.
Zella was an avid gardener, seamstress, cook, a friend to everyone she met and an active member of the Logan 13th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Zella spent the last nine years of her life with her daughter Carol, in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her children Brent (Beth), South Jordan; Roland (Cathy), Knoxville, Tennessee; Maile (Wayland Gray), Bakersfield, California; Carol (Mark Peacock), Richardson, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
No viewing is planned. A grave side service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the family plot in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
